We keep things simple and fair. Here's exactly how we operate — what we promise, what we charge for, and what to expect before, during, and after your job.
7-Day Satisfaction Guarantee — If something we set up stops working within 7 days and it's our fault, we come back and fix it at no charge. No arguments, no fees.
Scheduling
Cancellation Policy
Cancel 24+ hours in advance — no charge
No fee, no problem. Reschedule anytime through your Calendly confirmation link or by messaging us on Facebook.
Same-day cancellation — $15 fee
Canceling on the day of your appointment results in a $15 fee payable via Card or Zelle within 7 week days.
No-show without contact — $25 fee
If we arrive and no one is home and we haven't heard from you, a $25 fee applies. As a reminder to all clients, Tekpair reserves the right to decline future bookings for no-shows.
Rescheduling is always free
Move your appointment at no charge any time more than 24 hours before your scheduled slot.
Money Back
Refund Policy
Job not completed — full refund
If we can't finish the job we were hired for, you owe nothing. Full refund on any deposit paid, no questions asked.
Issue within 7 days — free return visit
If something we set up stops working within 7 days due to us, we come back and fix it at no additional charge.
Completed work after 7 days — no refund
We don't offer refunds on completed jobs after the 7-day window. However, we're always happy to return for a follow-up appointment at normal rates. We only wish for all our clients to leave satisfied.
Hardware or devices you purchased — no refund
If a device is defective out of the box, contact the manufacturer or retailer directly.
Payment
Payment Policy
Payment is due on-site when the job is done
We collect payment once the work is complete — not before. We accept Cash, Card, Zelle, Cash App, and Apple Pay. For jobs over $150, we may request a 50% deposit via Card or Zelle upfront to confirm your booking. This is always communicated clearly before we schedule anything.
No invoices or delayed payment
We don't send invoices or accept payment after the fact. All transactions happen on the day of service.
Accepted methods: Cash, Card, Zelle, Cash App, Apple Pay
Cash, Card, and Zelle are preferred. Cash App and Apple Pay are also accepted.
Gift Cards
eGift Card Policy
Valid for all Tekpair services
Tekpair eGift Cards can be applied toward any in-home tech service we offer. Present your gift card code at the time of payment and we'll apply it to your total.
Works with any payment method
If your gift card covers the full amount, you're all set. If there's a remaining balance, you can pay the difference with any accepted method — Cash, Card, Zelle, Cash App, or Apple Pay.
Value does not expire
Your eGift Card balance never expires. Use it whenever you're ready.
Cannot be combined with promotional discounts
eGift Cards cannot be used alongside first-time client, returning client, or multi-service discounts.
No cash value
eGift Cards cannot be redeemed for cash and are non-refundable once purchased.
Limitations
Scope of Service
Out of area fees
We serve within 35 miles of Cohoes, NY at no additional charge. Locations between 35–50 miles may be accepted at our discretion with a $50 travel fee added to the job total. Anything beyond 50 miles is outside our service area.
Pre-existing hardware damage
We're not responsible for issues caused by damaged or failing hardware that existed before we arrived. We'll flag anything we spot before starting work.
ISP outages and internet provider issues
If your internet is down because of your provider (Spectrum, Optimum, etc.), that's outside our control. We can help you troubleshoot and contact them, but we can't fix their network.
Services not agreed upon beforehand
We only perform services that were listed or clearly agreed upon before arrival. If something new comes up on-site, we'll discuss it with you first — never surprise charges.
We'll always be upfront with you
If we run into something we can't handle, we tell you straight. We won't charge you and hope for the best. Honesty is how we build long-term, happy clients.
